This fab necklace has eleven strands of round bone beads, and a heavily carved accent piece with what I believe are ptarmigans perched on a branch and an openwork design behind them. The opposite side has a bamboo-shaped tube, and the upper part of the necklace has larger bone beads accented with silvertone beads. The necklace is 31 inches long, with a hook clasp, and the carved piece measures 2 inches wide, 1-1/2 inches tall, and 1-1/4 inches deep. At 220 grams, or about 8 ounces, it is a heavy, substantial necklace. Very unusual and interesting!
