This lovely necklace has a mother of pearl pendant with hand painted bamboo shoots on it, surrounded by an etched silvertone frame. The chain, which is very fine, is 18-inches long with a "Whiting Davis" tag next to the ring clasp. The pendant measures 3/4" x 5/8". The necklace comes in its original box, and a tag which reads "Genuine Shell Hand Painted" on one side and "Whiting & Davis Since 1876" on the other side. One side of the box is missing part of the white label (see picture) but otherwise is in pretty good vintage condition. A beautiful, delicate necklace from a quality designer.
