This is an amazing pin, with a brilliant red ruby rhinestone in the middle that looks like a garnet or real jewel. The eight radiating petals are layered, and the goldtone finish is excellent -- maybe Russian goldplate? The pin is large, with a 2-1/2 inch diameter, and it is marked on the back "BENEDIKT NY ©." There is also a hook, so it can be used as a necklace pendant. The brooch is in excellent, like-new condition, although it is probably from the 1960s. An extraordinary pin!
