LIBERTY Signed Cloisonne Enameled Enamel Earrings
Could these earrings possibly be made by the old Arts and Crafts company L & C (Liberty & Co.)? I doubt it, because they do not look old enough (Liberty & Co --Late 1800s to early 1900s). The design is similar to those done by them however (their pieces often included layered enamel with Celtic influences). I also can't find any indication that the company ever signed anything "LIBERTY," which is how this pair of earrings is marked. Still, you never know ... and if they were made by them, what a find! The earrings have inlaid red and green enamel, cloisonne style, and about a one-inch diameter. They are in excellent condition.
