I have not been able to find a chatelaine brooch anywhere that has as many dangles and drops as this one. It is made of antiqued brass and has such interesting details, including seven pearls, embossed hearts and floral designs and resin beads. There are two chains that have lobster hooks on the ends but there are other "loops" that could hold items as well. The pin is heavy, at 1.8 ounces or 55 grams, but the clasp is firm and holds securely. The chatelaine has an overall height of 6" and it is 3" wide. The resin beads have varied and unusual shapes and colors. I'm not certain how old this brooch is, but I would guess it may be from the 1960s. It is definitely one of a kind!
