This set was part of Trifari's "For a Jewel of a Mother" ad campaign in 1950. The necklace has white plastic leaves with an unusual linkage system between the links. It is 14-1/2" long with a small fold-over clasp. The matching clip earrings have four petals on the flower and are 1-1/8" long. The back side of the necklace has a few minor scuff marks on the plastic, but overall the set is in very good vintage condition. Both the earrings and necklace clasp are marked "Trifari" (without the copyright sign). The set is shown, along with others used in the same ad campaign, in Costume Jewelry 202 by Julia Carroll, on page 182. A nice lightweight set for spring and summer days!
