This interesting vintage compact has a powder dispenser where you put the powder in the back compartment and slide that section forward to release a pre-set amount of powder. The bottom of the inside has "Pat. No. 1,836,722" inscribed in the metal (which was issued in 1931) and the compact had two receipts inside of which are dated July 1948. The compact measures 2-1/4" x 1-3/4" and unfortunately, the mirror inside is cracked. There is also some age-related wear on the metal but overall the compact is in very good condition considering its its age. Upon request, I will happily polish it up before shipping. This item would be a great addition to a vintage compact collection.
