Floral Repousse Brooch Butterfly Dogwood Filigree Daisy Old Vintage
This exquisite brooch has such finely executed repousse work -- the detail is simply amazing. I believe the three flowers portrayed are a tulip, dogwood and daisy. The openwork filigreed daisy has a clear bezel-set chaton-cut rhinestone in the center, which still sparkles brightly. There is a brass butterfly sitting at the base of the tulip and daisy, and it is so detailed it looks like it could fly away! The clasp is riveted on, in keeping with the quality displayed overall on this piece. The pin measures 2-3/8" x 1-1/4" and it may be sterling, though it is not marked. I have not attempted to clean it, as it has a marvelous patina. Definitely one of the nicest floral brooches I have seen!
