This brooch belonged to the mother of a friend of mine, who purchased it in the '50s. It is a stylized leaf shape, with smoky-quartz colored marquis shaped rhinestones and smaller blue-green AB chaton-cut rhinestones. (From certain angles the clear rhinestones are a deep shade of blue-green, which you can't see in the picture.) All of the rhinestones are prong set, and the brooch is rhodium plated. It is quite stunning, in an elegant, understated way. It measures 2 1/4" x 1 1/2" and is in excellent vintage condition.
