These earrings were designed by Coreen Simpson for Avon's "Regal Beauty Collection" in around 1994. The woman's face and flowing hair are surrounded with black enamel, with sparkling rhinestones at the bottom, and the drops are oblong black beads. The beads are suspended from hooks, and can easily be removed. The earrings are post style and measure 1-1/2 x 1-1/8 inches, with the drop adding another 7/8 inch. They are marked on the backs "Coreen Simpson" along with an "A" for Avon. The earrings come in their original box, which does show a small amount of wear, but the earrings are in excellent, like-new condition.

Coreen Simpson is an African American woman who is quite famous for her works in photography, literature, and her "Black Cameo Collection" jewelry line. Her work is also displayed in various museums, including the Bronx Museum. So these earrings, besides being so beautiful, are highly collectible in other ways.
